Description

One of the most famous comments of the Ramban on the Torah, is the opening paragraph of Parshat Kedoshim. Here the Ramban defines the concept of Kedusha as Prishut. According to this approach, sanctity means being removed from sensual pleasure, to withdraw from excessive involvement in the realm of the physical. The Nazir emerges as the model of the Kadosh. We will compare the Ramban's presentation with that of the author of the Sefer Reishit Chochma.
