In this shiur we will study the beginning sections of the Haggada shel Pesach, with focus on the insights of the Rishonim. The shiur is dedicated to an understanding of the Ha Lachma Anya, which is the only paragraph in the Haggada written in Aramaic, yet it concludes with words in Lashon Kodesh. The invitation to the poor to join us, or to others to eat the Korban Pesach seems difficult to comprehend. We will move on to study the Mah Nishtana, and attempt to unravel the mystery of the seemingly contradictory symbols of Matza, Marror, and Karpas, as they relate to Avdut & Cherut, Freedom & slavery, exile & redemption. We will discover that the concepts of Teshuva & Vidui, Geula & Mashiach play an important role in the Seder night.
