The Mitzva of Amalek like many Chukim, cannot be rationalized to the nations of the world who deny the Divine origin of the Torah. But how do we - who are oriented in the Halachik framework - explain Amalek to ourselves? Why does the Torah obligate us to remember and eradicate the nation of Amalek? Why doesn't the Torah demand that we destroy other enemy nations? What was Shaul's mistake and how did he justify his non-compliance with the command of the prophet Shmuel?
