Description
Why is it significant that Arbeh (locusts) completes the Barad (hail)? Why does HaShem inform Moshe that He will harden the heart of Pharoh just now - proceeding Arbeh - something He did not do in Makkat Shchin (boils)? Did HaShem command Moshe regarding Arbeh or did Moshe figure this one out on his own? Why is it that Arbeh is singled out as the plague through which HaShem mocks Pharoh? Does Arbeh play a special role in Mitzvat Sippur? Did Moshe believe that the Mitzrim could do Teshuva despite their negative responses to the first seven Makkot? Why did Moshe disappear after warning Pharoh regarding Arbeh and not remain to hear Pharoh's response? These and many other questions are addressed by the Ramban in the first Chapter of Parshat Bo.
