The central motif of Sefer Bereishit is family. One cannot help but be struck by what appears to be neglect of another typology of human relationship- friendship. This shiur tells the story of the emergence of friendship in the Torah in the story of Yehuda and his loyal comrade Chirah, and the eternal lessons about friendship we learn from this incident.
