      <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">According to the halachah, one is not permitted to say the verse in the Torah &ldquo;Shema Yisrael&rdquo; twice in rapid succession. What then does one do when reading &ldquo;shnayim mikra&rdquo; on Parashas Voeschanan where this verse occurs? The Kaf Hachaim discusses this question (chapter 61 paragraph 35) and brings an opinion that on the second occasion one should say this verse silently.</span></p>
