I can bring many, many sources where the Ben Ish Hai brings Halacha down based only on Zohars and Arizals (I can also bring this from the Hida, Rav Ovadia Yosef, and Rav Haim Palagi). This is based on an Arizal in Shaar Maamre RaSHBI and a Zohar. According to Sepharadim who follow the Ben Ish Hai this would not be the proper course of action. Rabbi Ben Tzion Abba Shaul writes (Or Letzion, vol. 2 44:13) that if your father didn't wear Techelet you are not allowed to. There are also Arizals in Peri Etz Haim ch. 4, 5 and Shaar HaKawanot Inyan Tzitzit, ch. 4. </p>
