Both when one is hearing the actual voice of a woman or her recorded voice, there is a definite difference between when a person speaks and when a person sings. However there is also an “in between case”; it is difficult to find a word to describe it, but maybe “chant” can be used. One might then ask whether or not it is permitted to listen to a women chanting, or even listen to her answering “omein” in such a manner?
