The Pri Megadim, [Mishbetzos Zahav<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Orach Chaim 453:1] who lived in Berlin, also mentions the opinion that potatoes are kitniyos, but in a more indirect manner.</span></span></span></p>
