      <p>I agree that Meir Kahana did a great many good things, among all of his regrettable actions. But there are also some peculiar stands that people have forgotten about. Do you remember the Italian-American Civil Rights League, founded by Mafia Don Joseph Colombo, head of one of New York's five families? I remember the news reporting that Meir Kahane was a prominent supporter of this organization. This is hardly the stand to be expected of a religious leader.</p>
