Yeshiva University’s Torah Online site is dedicated in honor of Marcos and Adina Katz, whose generosity has made this resource possible. Their gift to name the site is a recent example of the couple’s lifelong commitment to Torah learning throughout the world. Mr. and Mrs. Katz have been prominent international Jewish leaders and philanthropists for the past 50 years.

Born in Krakow, Poland, Marcos Katz settled as a young man in Mexico and became one of that country’s leading industrialists. Mr. Katz, who has served on the Board of Trustees of Yeshiva University since 1979, received the Eitz Chaim Award, the highest honor bestowed by the University’s affiliated Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS), at its 2006 Chag HaSemikha. He and Mrs. Katz are Benefactors of Yeshiva University, where they endowed the Marcos and Adina Katz Kollel of RIETS.
